How we make money

Today, we don't: no link on RateHerald pays us, there are no ads, and nobody pays to be listed.

What could change

Later, some links to banks and card issuers may pay us a fee when someone applies. Those links will say so right beside them, and we'll add a line to every page that has one.

We may also license our data to other companies. That's the data you see here, with the same sources.

What never will

• A payment never changes which products we show, how we sort them, or what we say about them. The code that sorts lists can't see which links pay.
• Nobody can buy a place on a list, a label or a mention.
• A product without a paying link gets the same page, the same figures and the same button as one with.
