No link on RateHerald pays us today. When some do, they'll say so, and they'll never change a ranking. How we make money

About RateHerald

RateHerald compares US credit cards using the issuers' own documents, and shows you the sentence behind every figure.

What we do

We collect each card's page, its pricing terms and, where one is filed, its card agreement with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We read the fees, rates and offers out of them, and publish each figure with the words it came from and the date we last checked it.

Tap any underlined figure on a card's page and you'll see that sentence. If we can't point to one, the page says so.

Why

Most comparison sites are paid by the issuers they rank, and show figures without saying where they came from. We think you should be able to check every number yourself, and that a list should be sorted by something you can see.

What's next

Credit cards come first. Checking, savings, CDs, bank bonuses and pages for banks and credit unions near you are on the way.
